Neo Atlas 2

Neo Atlas 2

FlipFlop, Artdink, Success

A second, expanded PlayStation iteration of Artdink's Atlas series. You are once again in charge of a trading company headquartered in Lisbon, and tasked by the king with exploring the rest of the world and bringing home the spoils. In addition to the exploration, trading and map creation of the prior game, it adds an "episode" system which is effectively a quest log, as well as changes and updates to the story and quests. Additionally, it improves on the trading system, adding the "trading post" function, which allows the player to choose which product to make in some cities, which allows for more streamlined trading. Just like the prior games, the shape of the world is determined by the player's belief or disbelief in the reports brought in by their admirals, and ultimately influences what is found on the map, and the routes that are available.

Metal Saga

Metal Saga

Crea-Tech, Success, Atlus

A follow-up to the Metal Max games, Metal Saga is set in the same post-apocalyptic world as its predecessors - a world populated by bounty hunters, rangers, bandits, and mutant monsters. You take the role of a bounty hunter who has to travel the world, looking for "wanted" people. Accompanied by a soldier, a mechanic, and a cyborg dog, the hero must survive a journey west that will ultimately take him to remote places and lead him to battles against evil. Metal Saga has a less linear story line that one would normally expect from a Japanese RPG - a story line that develops according to the missions you decide to take, which in their turn lead to new events and finally to different endings. The combat system features traditional party management and turn-based battles, with the addition of Metal Max's trademark tank combat. When you acquire tanks for your characters, you can use them in battles. Tanks get damaged and broken, but you will be able to customize them by finding parts scattered across the world and assembling them to build new models. Based on the model of tank many different kinds of weapons, cannons, and accessories can be equipped to it, making for hundreds of different options. Tanks can even be given a custom paint job that is saved to the memory card.

Success

A crossword is a word puzzle that normally takes the form of a square or rectangular grid of white and shaded squares. The goal is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues which lead to the answers. In languages that are written left-to-right, the answer words and phrases are placed in the grid from left to right and from top to bottom. The shaded squares are used to separate the words or phrases. Squares in which answers begin are usually numbered. The clues are then referred to by these numbers and a direction, for example, "4-Across" or "20-Down". At the end of the clue the total number of letters is sometimes given, depending on the style of puzzle and country of publication. Some crosswords will also indicate the number of words in a given answer, should there be more than one.

SuperLite 1500 Series: Slither Link

SuperLite 1500 Series: Slither Link

Nikoli Co., Success

Slitherlink (also known as Fences, Takegaki, Loop the Loop, Loopy, Ouroboros, Suriza and Dotty Dilemma) is a logic puzzle developed by publisher Nikoli. Slitherlink is played on a rectangular lattice of dots. Some of the squares formed by the dots have numbers inside them. The objective is to connect horizontally and vertically adjacent dots so that the lines form a simple loop with no loose ends. In addition, the number inside a square represents how many of its four sides are segments in the loop. Other types of planar graphs can be used in lieu of the standard grid, with varying numbers of edges per vertex or vertices per polygon. These patterns include snowflake, Penrose, Laves and Altair tilings. These add complexity by varying the number of possible paths from an intersection, and/or the number of sides to each polygon; but similar rules apply to their solution. SuperLite 1500 Series - Slither Link is a puzzle game based on the Slitherlink logic puzzle featuring over 200 different stages.
