The plot sees players, in the role of a navy captain, sent undercover in the Caribbean to retrieve an artifact known as "The Key of Dreams" from notorious pirate Blackbeard.[5] The story mode takes place over 10 levels. Players directly control a sailing ship, seen from an overhead view, to do battle with. Players can recruit various crew members, such as navigators and master gunners to upgrade the abilities of their ship, in addition to their weapons which include cannons, mines and rockets. In addition to the story mode, Pirates: The Key of Dreams also features a single player skirmish mode, where the player battles the computer in a variety of arenas, as well as an offline multiplayer battle mode that supports up to four players. There will be 35 skirmish/multiplayer battle maps in addition to bonus ships not selectable in the story mode.[6]

In the action-oriented 3D role-playing game Darkened Skye, the player takes the role of the title character and embarks on a quest to collect four prisms that may help bring the light of goodness back to the world. Skye of Lynlora was just a restless shepherd when she first came across the strange item that would change her life forever. Now she has opened a portal to another place and chaos has come forth. Only Skye can set things right once again. She will face an assortment of fantasy characters and creatures in her journeys as she makes her way through 30 missions set across five different game worlds. It is notable that, like some other releases from publisher Simon and Schuster (including the Boston Animation-developed M&M's: The Lost Formulas), this game features prominent product placement in the form of Skittles brand fruit-flavored candies. Indeed, it is the mystic power of Skittles that moves Skye through more than one threatening game situation. My Dress-Up is a fashion game for girls on the NDS. The game is played with the DS on its side like a book. It features from over 600 customisable items of clothing. These are split into 9 different categories that include shoes, trousers, tops, dresses and hats. The game also features a T-Shirt creation mode where players are able to make customs tops using unlocked tops and designs. Fancy Dress items can also be unlocked so you can dress your friends up as Fairies, Princesses or even something scary for Halloween. Players are able create over 60 friends and save up to 96 different outfits. The game is part of the My Games series and features the My Games chat feature that enables players to connect with My Make-Up and My Secret Diary for chat sessions. Photos from My Make-Up can also be sent to My Dress-Up to ‘finish the make over’.
