The Sword of Etheria

The Sword of Etheria

Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Konami

The Sword of Etheria is an action, hack and slash and role-playing video game developed and published by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo. Set in an alternate world; humans, gods, and spiritual beings known as "Katenas" coexist. Katenas are powerful warriors with the ability to encase themselves in full suits of armor called "Lexes". The Katenas are the envoys of the gods. The three great Katenas, chosen by the gods, are collectively referred to as "Oz". Both humans and Katenas are overseen by the gods. As in Greek mythology, the gods are described as omnipotent, ambitious, self-serving, and power-hungry. The major source of their power is light; as they consume light, they cast parts of the world into darkness for centuries. The gods seek to destroy humanity and drain the planet's energy source, "Etheria".

Dance Dance Revolution 2ndMix, sometimes abbreviated as 2ndMix, is the second game in the Dance Dance Revolution series of music video games. It was released as an arcade game by Konami in Japan on January 29, 1999. It has a total of 32 songs: ten from the original Dance Dance Revolution arcade game and 26 all-new songs. An updated version, Dance Dance Revolution 2ndMix Link Version, was released to Japanese arcades on April 28, 1999. This version came with a PlayStation memory card reader, installed in the middle of the arcade cabinet. It supports cards that have Link Data from the home version of Dance Dance Revolution, allowing each player to save high scores and play custom step edits. 2ndMix Link Version adds five new songs to the game, two from the home version and three new licenses, for a total of 37 songs. Future Dance Dance Revolution releases in Japan, up to and including Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, integrated Link Data functionality in-game. Dancing Stage Internet Ranking

Dancing Stage Internet Ranking

Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Konami

Dancing Stage Internet Ranking Version is also known as "DDR Version 1.5". Konami released an upgrade to the Dancing Stage arcade cabinet known as the "Internet Ranking" version, though the name is slightly ambiguous since the machine itself does not possess the ability to connect to the internet. An interesting feature of this machine is that it contained 6 more songs than the original arcade version, as advertised by a sticker on the arcade machine's marquee. The 6 additional songs were all production's by Konami's own music composers. The Internet Ranking version of the game added an extra option to the song selection wheel which had similar functionality to the built-in nonstop mode, except the player must play a selection of songs which have already been chosen. The selection of songs on an Internet Ranking machine changes depending on the current month. Upon completing an Internet Ranking nonstop course, the machine would display the player's final score along with a code consisting of numbers and letters, which could be submitted to Konami's website as part of a Europe-wide ranking chart. The overall highest ranking players were awarded prizes by Konami for their achievements.

Genso Suikogaiden Volume 2: Duel at the Crystal Valley

Genso Suikogaiden Volume 2: Duel at the Crystal Valley

Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Konami

This is a side story to Konami's RPG series Suikoden. The events of the game take place between the second and the upcoming third game, and fill the story gap between them. The story centers on the rebellion that has taken place in the Grasslands. It has been three months since the end of the Dunan Unification Wars. A legend telling about the Fire Brigands lead by the mysterious Fire Champion who united the Grassland nations is being spread around. Is the legend true, and can the Fire Champion, a holder of one of the 27 True Runes, be found? Nash, a special agent of Holy Kingdom of Harmonia's Southern Fringe Security Force, is sent to investigate the matter. You take control over Nash' actions in a fashion similar to the one implemented in Japanese "dating sims" or some hentai games: reading the text, looking at the background images, and sometimes interfering and choosing the path on which the story should proceed.
